Analysis of carbohydrates in Saponaria officinalis L. using GC/MS method

In addition to common soapwort flavonoids, quillaic acid, fatty acids different phenolic compounds. There lack information about carbohydrates content soapwort. Thus aim this study was determine herb roots. The qualitative composition quantitative roots were determined by using GC/MS method. studies have shown that mainly composed free such D-glucose (3.65 mg/g), D-galactose (0.29 D-fructose (0.20 mg/g) D-saccharose (3.72 mg/g). after acidic hydrolysis derivatization acetylated aldononitriles, D-arabinose, D-fucose, D-mannose, D-glucose, D-galactose, Myo-inositol identified. Free L., including D-saccharose, method too. among largest amounts. Its 3.72 mg/g 25.39 respectively.
